So who am I?
I started my photographic journey in 2007 when I purchased an Olympus E500 DSLR after I discovered that walking the dog I wanted to take photographs of the surrounding area.
A steep learning curve ensued and now after ten years I feel that although I am still gaining skills and knowledge I am content as to where I am.
I don't have any one genre that I specialise in but Landscape photography has always been a firm favourite, but I also like Macro, Street\People, Architecture, Travel and anything that catches my eye.
In 2017 I decided to start entering my images into photographic salons although I started to acquire acceptances for the FIAP award I concentrated more on the British Photographic Exhibitions award scheme achieving my BPE1* in February 2018, which means I have had 25 images accepted into the participating salons, and then my BPE2* in June 2018 which is 50 accepted images.
So what equipment do I use?
I started with an Olympus E500 Four\Thirds System DSLR and upgraded to the Olympus E620 after a couple of years.
I also purchased a great little 'pocket' camera the Olympus XZ1 which is great for those 'street' images and was always in my work bag as a 'just in case'.
As it looked like Olympus wasn't developing any new cameras I sold my Olympus equipment and purchased a Canon 5D MkIII full frame DSLR in 2012.
The Canon is a great camera and I used it tirelessly for 4 years, but it started to become a heavy weight around the neck and to carry around, Olympus by this time had developed the Micro Four\Thirds system, notice the word 'micro', smaller camera and smaller lenses so I bought the Olympus OMD EM5 MkII when it came out in 2015 and ran both Canon and Olympus side by side.
Eventually Olympus released the OMD EM1 MkII Pro camera which I feel is the camera I was waiting for Olympus to release in 2012.
I sold the Canon, as it was being left in the cupboard more and more, and bought the EM1 MkII.
I also bought the EM1 MkIII when it was released and the MkII became my back up camera.
Time goes on and in 2022 OM Digital Solutions, which is what Olympus has now been named released their OM-1 which is now their flagship camera and I have the MkIII as my back up.

Images displayed on my website are taken with any of the above cameras!
